Join Our HR Services Team as Payroll Coordinator for Italy!
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our HR Services team.
In this role, you report to the International Payroll Manager located at our head office in The Netherlands.
You will take ownership of managing a payroll team of approximately 5 employees, based in Milan. The team includes Payroll Experts and Payroll Support Administrators.
You will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of payroll for all our Action employees in Italy, working closely with internal teams and external payroll provider.

What will be your key responsibilities?
Leadership:
- Proactively manage and guide the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
- Drive continuous improvement projects and enhance payroll vendor quality.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader HR Admin based in The Netherlands to uplift services in Italy.
Payroll Processing:
- Working on timely and accurate payroll together with the team for Italy.
- Working closely with SD WORX, our external payroll provider, ensuring quality and adherence to local legislation and Action policies.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with HRS management, central departments, local HR team, and external providers to streamline payroll operations.
Process Improvement:
- Implement payroll process optimization for greater efficiency.
System Optimization:
- Utilize SAP, Kronos, and SuccessFactors to enhance payroll processes.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure payroll compliance and manage payroll reporting.
- Proactively liaise with authorities as needed.
Issue Resolution:
- Handle complex payroll discrepancies and resolutions with a proactive approach.
We are looking for a multitasker with a service oriented focus and:
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience of Italian payroll expertise is required
- Strong knowledge of payroll, tax and social security legislation
- Knowledge of Commerce/DMO CLA
- Leadership experience, capable of managing and guiding a team
- Proficiency in English with very good communication skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills an advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with SAP, Kronos, and SuccessFactors is an advantage
